Every year, photographers worldwide get excited for the Shoot & Share World Photo Contest – considered by the industry as the world’s “fairest” photography competition, as it has nothing to do with the number of followers you have, or the name recognition your brand generates, and instead – everything to do with your images themselves.  There are several categories to which you can submit images, and each year, I submit weddings, families, portraits, and engagements – 50 images total.  When voting, you have no idea whose photos are whose, so you literally see a set of four images, and pick your favorite from the lot.  This repeats through 12 rounds of contest voting, with each round getting considerably “tougher to choose” – as literally, by rounds 10-12, you are in the too 20% of all images.  It is incredibly rare to actually see your own images during voting – sheerly based on the volume of images submitted each year (it’s a world competition after all!) – but this year, I ran into a few of mine in the later rounds, and it was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Almost all of my images placed in the top 40% of the competition overall (wow! I still can’t get over that!), but I snagged some screenshots of the images that went the furthest in the competition this year and am happy to share them with you below.  Please know that as they are screen shots of a website, the images are not in high resolution – any blurriness you see here is not indicative of the actual quality of the image, but rather the screen shot nature! As you can see, it was another BEAUTIFUL year.
