When I started my photography company in 2011, I never dreamed of all the weddings and engagements I would cover on the South Carolina + Georgia coasts, or all the incredible southern couples I would meet.  Living in Atlanta and working as a full time counselor, I found myself traveling almost every other weekend to the coast to document couples in love, in one of the most romantic areas of the country.  For me, it was an absolute dream come true to photograph in the Lowcountry, so when we moved to the Midwest in 2015, a big piece of me was left behind.

Enter the beauty of air travel.  And the internet.  And former families I’ve worked with believing in my vision and having me come document yet another wedding for them.  When Adam reached out to me about joining he and his beautiful bride, Jaclyn, along with their closest friends and family in Charleston, SC for their April 2018 wedding, he didn’t have to ask twice- I jumped at the chance!  As it was a destination wedding for all of us, we were thankfully all able to spend time together in advance of the big day- including shooting this gorgeous, Johns Island engagement session.  Enjoy a few of my favorite images from their session below.  And bonus, if you think these are gorgeous, just wait for their Legare Waring House wedding images— hitting the blog oh so soon!  Stay tuned!
