Stefanie and I met at a local park just over a year ago, and I think it’s safe to say it was friendship at first sight.  Add to the mix that we are both mommas to two little (and quite energetic) boys each, we’re both Galesburg transplants, and we’re both married to academics (well, hers is for sure an academic, mine is kind of? maybe? ha!), you can probably glean that conversations flow pretty easily when we’re together.  I’ve been meaning to photograph Stefanie and her beautiful little family for some time now, and I’m happy we were able to finally make it work this fall, even if it was, of course, on the rainiest day of the year.  Somehow though, the skies took pause just long enough for us to have the sweetest little family photo shoot over at Lake Storey in Galesburg, IL.

I absolutely treasure this sweet friend, and am beyond honored to have been able to capture her adorable little family with my lens.  I hope I’m not stealing her Christmas card thunder, but I had to share just a few of my favorites with you all.  Enjoy! xoxo
